Alshifa Medical Syringe Manufacturing Co Ltd, Saudi Arabia – Based in Dammam and Dubai, Alshifa already produce 200m syringes per annum and are now in the process of doubling their capacity to include K1 syringes in their portfolio.  Alshifa will be producing K1 by calendar 2008.  Alshifa will sell the K1 products in the Arabian peninsula, Syria and Jordan.

Amson Vaccines & Pharma (PVT) Ltd, Pakistan - Major Pakistan vaccine manufacture. Signed a new licence agreement in March 2004  and has commenced work on building a 100+ million/year syringe  plant. Main purpose is to supply Pakistan with a bundled vaccine  and syringe offering and will be manufacturing by calendar 2008.

BD: Becton, Dickinson & Company, United States - Star signed a license agreement with BD in September 2007.  Based in New Jersey in the USA, BD are the world's largest manufacturer of syringes, producing and selling many billions each year.  BD have licensed two K-Technology features; K1 Auto Disable and are our first K5 Aspiration licensee.  It will take time to move to volume production but we expect this to be achieved in 2009.

Chengdu Xinjin Shifeng Medical Apparatus & Instrument Co. Ltd, China – is  located in the western part of China. The factory is the main supplier of disposable syringes for the Sichuan and surrounding provinces and has been accredited with ISO 9002 and the CE mark.

First Medical & Sterile Products Industries Ltd, Nigeria – are based near the Nigerian coast on a much expanding industrial trade zone.  The company is in the process of procuring state of the art production equipment from a range of industry professionals in Western Europe.  The factory commissioning took place in May 2006 and the company will service many West African states.

Hayat Medical Instruments and Corrugated Board and Boxes Inc., Turkey - Hayat is an established and successful syringe manufacturer with a good position in the Turkish market and surrounding countries. The license with Star was signed in the summer of 2006, and, apart from some refinements, Hayat were ready for production a little over 12 months later.

Hindustan Syringes & Medical Devices (HMD), India – largest disposable syringe manufacturer in India, and one of the 8 largest in the world with an annual output of 1+ billion syringes & 2 billion needles. The company has 7 plants just outside Delhi. The manufacturing plants are ISO 9001/EN 46001 certified and US FDA inspected and are WHO PQS compliant for their 0.5ml immunisation syringe and 2ml & 5ml curative syringes.  HMD have produced K1 AD syringes since 2002 under their Kojak Selinge K1 label.  Apart from serving the local market HMD won the first major order for curative syringes to PEPFAR (President’s emergency Program For AIDS Relief) during 2004.

JMI – Bangla, Bangladesh – is a publicly limited company based in Dhaka. The company is the leading disposable syringe manufacturer and is also the pioneer manufacturer of Auto-Disable Syringes in Bangladesh. JMI signed their K1 license in October 2005 and production commenced in November 2006.

Ling Yang Zhejiang Medical Apparatus Co Ltd, China – Ling Yang Medical is a privately owned, ISO9002 accredited syringe manufacturer situated in the Zhejiang province of China. Ling Yang have a current capacity for between 300m – 400m.  Current K1 AD capacity for both immunization and curative is 200m per annum. Ling Yang became a qualified WHO compliant factory for the 0.5ml immunisation syringe in October 2002. K1 is branded Lingyang K1.  LingYang has been servicing the GAVI/China immunisation programs since 2003 as well as their local market.

Mediplast, Vietnam – Company is majority owned by the Govt. of Vietnam and based in Hanoi City, has for the past three years been supplying the GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines & Immunisations) and in country EPI (Expanded Program for Immunisation) programs for Vietnam.

PAHF (Pan African Health Foundation), Nigeria – Based in Port Harcourt, the groundbreaking event for this factory took place at the end of November 2004 with Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria and Grand Patron of PAHF accompanied by 2000 assembled dignitaries and guests.   The factory will produce 135m K1 syringes per annum and will be ready to produce for the local Nigerian and Ghana markets during calendar 2008.

PT Oneject, Indonesia – Based in the city of Bogor, PT Oneject have an annual K1 capacity of 120m units and they have been serving the Indonesian Govt. with 0.5ml immunization syringes since the beginning of 2004.  The company also produces curative syringes for the local private market and other Indonesian Government programs.

Wenzhou BeiPu, China – situated in Wenzhou City in Zhejiang Province. The factory is a major manufacturer of syringe needles with a capacity of 3.5 billion per annum. They have produced K1 in 13 different sizes and currently have a maximum capacity of 300 million. The company has also supplied AD syringes to the GAVI immunisation programmes in China.
